大家看看新加坡法律是如何惩罚乱丢垃圾者的吧，相信以下条规如果咱们国内效仿的话，也没人敢乱丢垃圾了。
环境局增派更多人手以及用更长工作时间，来加强“扑虫”行动（注：新加坡把乱丢垃圾者叫垃圾虫），现在环境局平均每天花322个人工小时，是2006年的3倍半，屡犯不改者得付出相当大的代价。
第一次被抓到乱扔垃圾，对环境影响轻微者将被罚200新币（约920人民币），这些垃圾包括巴士车票，香烟盒，烟头，火柴棒，停车固本，糖果包装纸。如果是第2次被抓到，也会被控上法庭。
但对环境有严重影响的，例如容易造成伊蚊（新加坡的一种毒蚊子，以后介绍）滋生的物品，像汽水罐，啤酒瓶等，会被直接控上法庭，最高罚款1000新币（约4600人民币），或接受劳改，或两者兼施。
顺便提一下，所谓的劳改就是披上他们的提供的“劳改服”去扫大街。
